January 2008, I started homeschooling my oldest. He was only 3 1/2 at the time. I have to say it is not what I expected. I had a totally different picture in my head. Homeschooling has been an adventure to say the least.
Over the years our school has grown. Our school has evolved. I have learned a lot about my children. I have learned their strengths and their weaknesses. I have learned that each child learns differently. What works with one child might not work with the others.
I have learned that homeschooling is not easy. Have I thought about throwing in the towel? Yes I have. Many, many, many times to tell the truth. Some days are hard. Sometimes I question myself. I have to remember why I started homeschooling in the first place.
If you are thinking about starting this journey. Talk about it with your spouse. Pray about it. God will lead you. He will show you His Will for your family. This might be the path He wants for you, it might not be. Just remember to pray about it……
